Arkells – “Relentless”

Thoughts, Inspirations, Opinions, & Quick Takeaways

  • The concern is not for the work, but for the integrity of the designer
  • If you’re copying exactly for learning purposes that’s okay, but don’t act like you made it
  • The most important question you can ask as a designer is WHY, the second is HOW
    • Why did their design work
    • Who was the target audience
    • What was the problem they were trying to solve
    • Why did they use the elements they did?
    • How did everything work together to communicate the message?
    • How did they visualize the concept or narrative of the design?
    • How could you use the ideas in your own way, to reflect your style?
REMEMBER part of my design process on research and inspiration BEFORE creating is to SLEEP ON IT
