Ask Why

AskWhy

One of the most important parts of design thinking that you will ever need is knowing the importance of asking why. Simon Sinek, inspirational author, says that it’s easy to figure out what you do, and how you do it, but being able to iterate why you do it is where people get hung up. Without why, there is no purpose. This applies to so many areas of our lives, not just design but for today’s tip I challenge you to ask yourself “why?” as much as you can. Ask why you chose that pantone color, ask why you decided on a sans serif typeface, ask why what you are doing should matter to your target audience.

Why is the most important question you will ever have to answer about your work and it will give you more motivation than you ever expected.
