Sometimes we get comfortable in the creative spaces of what we are “good at”. It’s really important to do work that is something you’ve never tried or never had the guts to try.
Trying a new design technique or learning a new discipline (illustration, type design, photography, etc.) isn’t exactly jumping out of a plane. You’re not gonna die if you don’t do it just right.
So try new things in your work in the coming year. Make your own type, or figure out double exposure photography. Take some chances and grow a little.
