On Failing

Sometimes people are so afraid of failure that they never try. But failure does not have to be the end.

Failure can be a beginning.

Just because you fail, doesn’t make you a failure. If you never try, you will never ever fail. But you will most definitely never succeed either. 

Design is not a science. There is no one right answer, and the road to the best solution is paved with failures. Maybe you think you want to go one direction and you try and you fail, then you try another direction and it ends up being even better than your first. You would never have found that new path if you hadn’t stumbled, tripped, or fallen on the first one, or two, or ten. Those “failures” are what led you to a success. 

So fail, It may be the most useful thing that you do today.

And in the words of playwright Samuel Beckett, “Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.” Be bold enough to fail and you will succeed.
